Style Is Spirit™  |  RESET

Your environment speaks to you
RESET helps you understand

The environments we create shape the way we live, work, think, and connect with others.

Our homes influence our routines.

Our wardrobes affect confidence and self-expression.

Our workplaces shape collaboration, culture, and professional presence.

As our lives evolve, these environments don’t always evolve with us. What once felt natural can begin to create friction, making everyday life feel less comfortable, less efficient, or no longer representative of who we are.

Style Is Spirit™ | RESET helps uncover those hidden points of friction through human observation and thoughtful analysis.

RESET begins by understanding the relationship between people and their environments, revealing opportunities to refine, reuse, repair, repurpose, and reimagine what already exists.

About Style is Spirit™

Developed in San Francisco in 2016 through interdisciplinary workshops on personal style, confidence, and wellbeing, Style Is Spirit™ has grown into Sohocolab’s signature observation-based methodology.

RESET draws on environmental psychology and systems thinking to help individuals and organizations understand how their surroundings shape everyday experience, not just how things look, but how they function, how they feel, and how well they serve the people who use them.

RESET for Individuals

Every home and wardrobe tells a story. Sometimes it’s the story of who you are today. Sometimes it’s one you’ve already outgrown.

RESET for Workplaces

Organizations are shaped by more than strategy and processes. The environments people work in, the way they present themselves, and how resources are used all influence culture, communication, confidence, and performance.

As workplaces evolve, physical spaces, professional habits, and everyday systems often fail to keep pace. The result can be hidden friction, underused resources, inconsistent professional presence, and environments that no longer support the way people actually work.

RESET uses observation-led assessment to identify these opportunities and uncover practical ways to improve how people, spaces, and existing resources work together.

Professional Presence

Professional presence extends beyond appearance. It reflects confidence, credibility, and how individuals represent themselves within their organization.

RESET helps employees strengthen their professional image by making better use of what they already own. Through practical wardrobe assessment and styling guidance, participants learn how to build a polished, authentic professional presence without unnecessary purchasing.

Team Resource Reuse

Most organizations already possess valuable resources that become overlooked as priorities, teams, and workflows change.

RESET helps teams identify underused furniture, equipment, materials, and other workplace assets, exploring practical ways to reuse, repurpose, or redistribute them before new purchases are considered. The approach strengthens resource efficiency, reduces waste, and encourages more thoughtful decision-making across the workplace.

The Reset Framework

Every RESET begins with observation.

We look beyond appearance to understand how people interact with their environments.

Our approach follows six guiding principles:

Observe - Notice behaviors, routines, and patterns.

Understand - Identify strengths and points of friction.

Reveal - Discover opportunities that often remain hidden.

Reimagine - Explore practical possibilities before replacing.

Refine - Improve function, flow, and everyday experience.

RESET - Create environments that better support people while encouraging thoughtful reuse, repair, repurposing, and responsible resource use.

Every engagement includes the Style Is Spirit™ | RESET Workbook, providing practical exercises, observations, and a personalised action plan.
